OK I know the newer 4.6 Stangs say to use 20w50 oil, I always used 10w30 in my 96.

I was gonna pick up a 5 qt bottle of mobil 1 at walmart today (about 10 bucks cheaper than a case)

All they had left in stock was 15w50. Will that work in my stang or should I wait around for some 10w30 and stick with that?

Or is there something better i should use?

And for the spark plugs, whats the best kind to use on a NA 4.6? Right now I have bosch platinum +2 in there. I heard they where bad and I could pick up some more power with something else. Anyone recomend anything and part #s if you know em.
(i'm trying to squeeze every last bit of power from the car, I wanna hit 200 to the rear wheels and I'm so close (198.9))

I have AutoLight 764's in my Cobra

I also run the 5w20 Motorcraft blend.
so would the 15w50 be ok in my 96GT? I never stayed far away from using 10w30 in all of my cars from an escort to all of my stangs

Where can I get the autolights? Would a place like pepboys or autozone have em?

Thanks for the help:D

Yeah, Autozone will have them

I am no oiling expert, but I generally stick to what the book calls for. Wal-Mart sales the 5w20 Motorcraft here, thats just my preference. I think 10w30 Mobil 1 would be fine as well.
i'll stick with the 10w30 then.
thanks for the help.

Autozone doesn't carry Autolite plugs but they do have Motorcraft which are just as good. Stay away from Bosch plugs in any domestic vehicle.
