Greetings Fellow Mod Motors Folks!

I'm hoping some of you braniacs can help me clear up a couple of things. These are pics of some used JE Flats that I believe are toast. Please take a look and tell me what you think:
First Pic

7 of the 8 pistons show deterioration in the area between the tops and the compression ring, the piston on the left is the worst of the bunch. 6 of the compression rings appear to be pretty well wedged into their respective grooves and don't seem too keen on being easily removed.

Second Pic

This pic is showing dissimilar "valve reliefs" on 2 of the pistons. Maybe it's just me but this looks more like "valve getting hammered into piston" than it does a valve relief.

Take a look, tell me what you think, and thanks for taking the time!

Looks like someone had the wrong piston to valve clearance.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Thankfully, these didn't come outta my car. I'm just trying to clear up a little misinformation, that's all. It's been years since I've had any hands-on piston experience (and that was a Wiseco motorcycle piston, lol) and I really appreciate y'all taking a look and offering up your opinions.
