Thanks

I am still running TR6's.....have been since my first upper pulley mod..just changed the gap as the boost went up. When I was at 20 lbs of boost , I set the gap at .030

I probably should have gone with Denso 22's

Bad choice! That plug is too hot for this car, even stock, IMHO. Anyhoo, why not go Denso when it's not that much more, plus has an even finer tip, and colder choices?

Whats going to happen performance wise if I opt to use, for example, an IT24 with stock gap(.032 If I remember correctly) at 17psi? How is the gap going to affect performance, are there blowout issues if the gap is too large?

Yes, spark will blow out if the gap to big. It happened to me already. And thanks to this forums, I was told what my problem was, (spark gap to big).

Here is another question, what will happen symptom wise if you run a plug that is tooc old? Also, if the plug is colder than ideal what affect will it have on your A/F?

Too cold of a plug will yield a miss at low rpms (idle).

Thats what I figured, the leaner the mix the harder it is for the spark to cross the gap and since these things run so damn lean at low RPM it makes even more sense.

Question. Why .035 and not .040? I thought the larger the gap the better to a degree. What gains will I expect from .035 over .040?

I have see Blower cars gapped from 45 to 25 and there was no change in power..Gapped wider just made spark blowout..
