I just read an article in Muscle Mustangs about the new Steeda Q500.

Looks to be a good car, but in the article they write that the Q500 beat a Z06 in a drag race.

At 500hp would this happen? Just curious because it seemed a little off to me.

My 06 is at 500hp flywheel but I never thought it would be a match for a Z06.

I was just starting to read the article when I read this post.
A few things about the car that I read:
-it's about 600 flywheel hp, so the 500 rating is at the wheels
-they were running Nitto drag radials at the strip and the Z06 was on stock tires
-they said the Z06 couldn't put the power down.

That's not to discredit the Q500, though. That seems to be a great car. Two things I really liked reading about were the Adaptive Performance Calibration and that it finished 2nd in a Corvette autocross... Quite a car for sure

Ah ok I thought it was 500 flywheel.

I guess that makes more sense now... although I'd be worried my engine would grenade at that power level.

If it's the yellow car they are writing about,
I have driven it, and it's a monster.
The Red car they have is also very fast, but not quite as fast as the Yellow car.
I have driven the red car also.
