I just finished installing my AJE K-member (for a fox swap) into my '88 and put the power steering rack on... now the steering shaft is about 1.25" too short!

I looked into a newer shaft because they telescope, but the end didn't look like it will work with my '88s steering colum (where the shaft sides into the colum shaft)... although i could be wrong.
Anyone have a clue to what i need to make this work? Mabe a newer one will work? Manual steering shaft?

Sorry I didnt get to you sooner, the forum is not notifying me when a thread is posted. As you already know, you must lengthen the shaft, howerver there is something else to look at.
Unless your cars' front end sits really high, You will need to get a bumpsteer kit from competition engineering to compensate for the dropping of the rack or the car will dart all over the road. This happens because the bumpsteer angle is out of range and the tow in is changed as the suspension travels.
