alternator shaft speed
stock crank pulley 7.375 divide by 3.2 alt pulley = 2.30 ratio
2.30 x 750 engine idle rpm = 1725 alt. shaft speed rpm
2.30 x 6500 engine rpm = 14,950 alt. shaft speed rpm
at 16,000 alt. shaft speed, alt. begins to fail, continue overspinning it and burn it up
should have between 1600 to 1800 alt. shaft speed at engine idle to make power at idle
you are fine and might see longer life from stock alt. ?
some sites state stock lower is 7.5, others 7.6" , but you get the idea
stock alt. pulley is only usefull for burning up alt., toss it
