I ran into some good news yesterday. I took the NC converter out yesterday and opened it up. It's a bolt together torque converter. It's as tight as could be setup right now. I'm throwing 2 more shims between the needle bearings to increase the air gap. I should go from where I stall on the brake now (6500) to about 6800-6850. This combined with the 4.30's (taking out the 4.10's) should get me very very close to where the car needs to be in the 60 foot and first half of the track. I"m hoping for a low 8.8 or high 8.7 right out the gate the next time out.
