No that is not what his is talking about. He is talking about the plate that bolts to the block to allow cylinder boring.

Yes I think they are the same.

thnx chad.. i heard the opposite. Then again.. being where i'm at, i think i should just get a new racing block.

I am just going from the thought that the bore is the same and the fact that the 4V head will bolt to a 2V block. so the head has to sit the same on the block to work LOL. I could be wrong.

2V or 4V 4.6 or 5.4 ....Same plate..

Does anyone know where I can get a torque plate for a 1996 cobra block at a resonable price. The machine shop I went to does not a torque block.

My machine shop did not have one either. So I had him buy one from BHJ and I split the cost with him. It cost me $200, maybe you can make a similair deal with your guy ? Oh, yeah i did not mind buying half because I've done several Modulars.

keep in mind that if you ever need to align hone the mains, you're gonna need a pair of torque plates to do it right.
