I was able to take advantage of the cool Florida weather last Saturday.
DA was in the 500 range and track prep was good for the Super Street Shoot Out.
I got a new PB of [email protected] w/ 1.46 60' time. This was my first 1.4x!!
The car is all over the place and does not want to go straight.
Please check out the vids and any suspension guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I didn't realize how squirrely the car was till I watched the vids in slow motion. YIKES!!

Thanks Jim!
It was in the 70s on Saturday and back in the high 80's this week.
There are some advantages to living in Florida.
Funny you say that. I did get sunburned at the track.
The pain we endure to have fun!!!!

Justin and I were anxiously awaiting your updates on Saturday.
You got a best of 10.3?

Need an ARB bad! Not enough anti-squat. And why such a little burnout? Cold track?

Other than that congrats on the new best!
A lot of people said the same as you to definitely get an ARB.
I do a big burn out the first run of the day.
After that I usually just do a quick one to heat up and clean off the tires.
Traction as you can see wasn't an issue but you are probably right.
A longer burnout would be beneficial.
This was my first time in the 1.4x 60'and I pulled a tire!!!

Your not leaving hard enough then. A slick needs some wheel speed (2-3 revolutions before it dead hooks). Put a wide stripe on the tire to check for wheel spin before dead hooking.

Hot damn that last pass looked good! Congratulations Rick and you've only got some better weather on the way before to long.

On a side note watch pulling all the way through the water-box because if you dry those slicks off the car has more of a chance of smoking the clutch. I've seen 2 Terminators do it in the past.

How much boost are you running and are you IRS or SRA?
Boost was about 21lbs and it has a solid rear with 3.55s and 28" MT Slicks.

Your not leaving hard enough then. A slick needs some wheel speed (2-3 revolutions before it dead hooks). Put a wide stripe on the tire to check for wheel spin before dead hooking.
I just got enough intestinal fortitude to launch at 5k.
Launch harder?? WOW!
The car pulls hard to the right on lauch and between shifts.
This needs to be addressed before it gets hit harder.
Thank you very much for the input!!

Thanks Brian!!
I have to relearn how to drive the car with the new combo but I'm getting there.
Thanks for the water box advice. I saw that and thought "what the heck was I doing?"

The biggest problem is that I can practice, hook and have great weather but I will STILL be looking at your tail lights!!!:thongue2::thongue2::thongue2::thongue2::thongue2::thongue2::thongue2::thongue2::thongue2:

Nice runs on the new clutch. How did you like it compared to the Fidanza? When it comes to an SRA I'm in the dark on setup, and probably will always be.
The Promotion has had zero chatter from the start. The Fidanza loosened fillings until it was broken in.
I never hit the Fidanza with the 2 step at 5k and the 28s but I did beat on it for more that 2.5 years with no issues.
