Holy shity guy... I read this a few times and still do not understand 🙃 I appreciate the information, but I'm not sure how to apply it to my application 😅
An 8 gauge wire for a 340 amp alternator is seriously undersized. You should be using one of the Alternator Reseller's 4 gauge (or larger) wire upgrades..I have a 340amp alternator, 8gauge wire upgrade, 8an feed fuel line,525 hellcat pump with a jms bap... I'm shooting for as much hp as possible...
Are you running it on Gas or E85?I'm hoping to make 1000rwhp. Do you think this setup will support my goals?
I plan to run pump for awhile while my 6r80 is being built. However long term I will be moving to e85. I know I will likely be around 700whp on pump. However once my drive train is built I'll be stepping up my fuel setup also. But as I'm building a Ford expedition, everything is a custom 1off deal, including the fuel setup. I did the single 525 hellcat pump because it dropped right in the tank with no real modifications needed. I needed something immediately for my old twin screw setup to be back on the road...Are you running it on Gas or E85?
Are you running a return type fuel system?
I doubt One Hellcat pump 450lph will give enough headroom even with a BAP for 1000hp. With a BAP my GUESS is that two pumps are required with Gasoline , not E85, but then a BAP won't be needed for gasoline if running two pumps...this is purely speculation since I haven't done the math.
I am in the process this week of changing pumps now from three 320lph pumps to three Hellcat 450lph pumps to support a 1000hp next month BUT I run E85 so this requires more pump than would be required for gasoline.
Here's the TI Automotive (Walbro) Hellcat pump:
