I am building my own single turbo kit and I am going to use CG Fabrication headers/hot side kit. It uses a T4 turbo flange so I contacted Percision Turbo and they recommended a Model# PT8285 CEA with a 1.12 A/R turbine. Is this a good turbo and is it to big? it is a 82mm wheel I believe.
This is a street car so I want to make upper 600's on pump and 800+ on a race fuel tune. They say I can clear 700rwhp on pump with this turbo and for $3,800 it better kick ass!
Need recomendations on what waste gate and boost controller and front K member setup to run.

Any 76mm will get it done ALL DAY LONG at that power level. An 82 is overkill IMO. A 76 with a 1.08 or hell even a .96 A/R will do it. It won't take but 13-14 psi to make 600 on pump gas. FWIW my car (I know, I run twins) made 680 rwhp on 13.2 psi.

Go with a Garrett GTX4202R or GTX4508R if you have that kind of a budget to work with. The 42R is a 75.8mm good to 1150hp and the 45R is a 79.8mm good to 1250hp. Both billet wheels and water cooled dual ball bearing
