This post is not backed by Allen Engineering and Developement in any way. I am simply spreading the word about a product that I believe to be wanted by racers and street drivers a like--a Whipple 140 for our 5.4's! Why should the V-10's be the only ones with access to the awesome power of the Whipple? Well no longer are the V-10's the only members of the elite Whipple club. AED has developed a Whipple 140 based racing kit for the 4.6 modular and I say if they can do it for the 4.6 then why not for the 5.4? The 4.6 kit was developed for Mike Siska who gained 80 rwhp by simply installing the Whipple on his 95 T-Bird and he has a lot more to go from there, once tuned etc. According to Scott of AED this kit is only for the 4.6 at this time, but maybe if enough people show genuine interest maybe the 5.4's could join the elite club of Whipple users.

These are links to more info on the kit:

I am still in process of testing the Race Kit. The first dyno numbers show some real potential with the Whipple kit. 3 weeks ago in Cleveland ( the weekend the lights went out) it managed 475RWHP and 510RWTQ. The weather was swamp like hot and humid. This from a 4R70W equipped 95 T-Bird with IRS. I was fighting a bad belt slip with the 6 rib setup and was pegging a 90 mm Lightning MAF. I am in the process of changing over to a 8 rib belt and a larger MAF and injectors. Hope to retune the setup very soon, and with the cooler air coming get some track time in. The Race kit is not emissions legal  and some custom fitting and assembley is required. ;)

Thanks for the post Mike and I hope to see some upper 9's :jawdrop once the weather cools and you get the belt tamed and a good tune. I'll keep my eyes open for updates on the numbers.

Whats a Whipple 140??
It's a 2.3L Whipplecharger Twin screw blower. On the Whipple site it's known as a 2300AX model blower.

What is your solution? Tell us. Thanks
This kit - I have a brand new 2300ax sitting in my living room. I was going to adapt it to my Saleen kit but this seems like a much better solution. I've already been in contact with Scott at AED - I just need to sell my existing kit first.

Ahh what else would your kit fit, the one you have now? Is it only for the Saleen?
I purchased it to update my Saleen kit. The blower I bought is the same one used on the Extreme Saleen.
