I'll post the good and the bad.

First pass ever with car, 13.60 @ 108. Slow enough to wanna make a grown man cry.

Best Pass ever, 12.08 @ 118. Respectable, but always looking to improve. Wanna dip into the 11's without using D/R's, and not spend any more money on parts.

And you are too smart to be spelling like you are in second grade.

Ouch!

P.S. (To my two Pisans) I finally got the nitrous system tuned, the clutch adjusted, and the pulley not slipping. Now if I could only stop driving like ass, I'd be able to beat my best time of: [email protected] w/1.909 60' (just ran this on saturday). :D

That's great, Mark. Congrats on the strong run. That's pretty damn impressive.

Did you figure out what was going on at Epping? Was it belt slip or the clutch?

BTW: We'll start the PDCLA club (pisans driving Cobras like ass).

:shocked

Hope to see you soon, bro.

Hey Bro,

Thanks. Yes, it was the clutch......kudos to Uncle Jimmy who figured it out way before I did. Actually, it was three problems:

1. my bad wiring of the BAP
2. slipping upper pulley (due to my sandblasting it)
3. poorly adjusted clutch cable (too tight)

What can I say, I'm a dumb ass.

Anyway, the car is wicked strong. Right before the 11.66 run I made two other runs. They were 12.0 @ 122mph and 11.74 @ 122mph. This was spraying off the line which puts 707lb-ft of torque to the wheels. It was a freakin' bear to launch. I spun a lot and my 60' times went from 1.7ish to 1.9ish on the juice. Time for some ET streets. There is still a little more tuning to do on the nitrous system. From 5000rpm to redline the air/fuel is mid to high 10's. I started to lean things out a little but ran out of time. It's so rich that I can feel the car nose over after 5000rpms. There's two ways to handle this: the sane man would cut fuel......the insane man (me) might just up the nitrous jet from a 75hp to a 100hp. :evil

I think if I get this tuned perfectly and I get my driving down I should be able to hit 11.2's at around 125mph.

Keep the rubber side down!

MJ are you still running an upper and lower with the juice?? If so I would expect trap speeds to be high 120's. A buddy of mine just got his compucar kit on last night in addition to his 2.80 pulley, he says it will go high 120's now, so we'll see!

Do all you guys running 11's and 10's have roll cages or do ya'll have access to a track thats speed friendly? Run an 11.99 at my track and your done, regardless of if its an event or not. Once the KB's done, I'll start having to stand on the brakes.....:(

11.49 at our track requires roll-bar, etc. (IHRA)

Yes, upper and lower BUT stock timing curve (i.e. much less torque). Also, I'm having a helluva time getting this N2O system tuned.

I got kicked off the last 1/4 mile track I went to for running in the elevens. I decided to visit a 1/8 mile track this past weekend and pulled a [email protected] with a 1.62 60', figured that would have been another escort out to the gate at the 1/4 mile track. I do not want to install a cage in the car, just need to find out what it can do every once in awhile. ;)
