I was talking in another thread about upgrading my existing T56 with triple cone synchros like the GM and Vipers seem to be using, but what If I could find a good used one out of a wrecked donar car? There's gotta be a lot og GTO's, Vettes, and Vipers wrapped aroung telephone poles. Would converting their hydraulic throwout bearing to our cable/fork setup be easily done??? And is all the other equipment located in the same place, shifter, speed sensor, blah, blah, blah???????

most likely there is a difference in the input shaft and a difference in tailshaft length...

Don't hassle yourself with that. Here is a direct quote from D&D.....

Tremec is coming out with a 6060 that is a direct bolt in for your car. it will be a hell of a deal. 700 lb-ft capability, $2795.00 retail price.

Basically Tremec is coming out with a T-56 case with TR6060 guts so it is a direct bolt in, and would use the stock length driveshaft.
