Come one guys what's with the bickering and name calling? Seems like it's a lot easier to belittle someone than it is to add something intelligent to a topic. Posting in a particular thread isn't mandatory, it's a choice. If someone's thread seems crazy or outlandish then move on, find another thread that interests you. Obviously politics is a subject that not everyone is going to see eye to eye. For that matter some people on "the same side of the fence" don't always even see eye to eye.

That's an easy one..... MONEY. You can thank corporations and banks for this because they have their hand in everything. If they can't buy one political figure they move on to the next one. They will find the bad apples! Look also at the effect corporations have on our laws. I could go on and on about the negative things that come from big corporations. The power and influence some of them have is just plain scary.

There is no one else to blame for this than our current political leaders.. Democrats and Republicans..

I completely agree. If everyone in politics had integrity this world would be a different place. That will unfortunately never happen.

The truth is, there is only one political party in this Country.. They have divided themselves into the good guy bad guy scenario to confuse us.. However, if you watch closely, they all seem to want the same things for America.. Its downfall.. Crooked bastards!! All of them.. Democrats and Republicans..

HaHa. It is not so easy is it? I am not on one side or the other. I am not in the mix. This helps give a new perspective which is an overview. Is there a right side to this subject?

while you are at the throat of religion (especially christians) for commiting acts of murder and say that they are the group that is responsible for most attrocities consider this........... Maybe it is atheists that commit the most murder of humans and why not? They have noone to account to and nothing to account for.

Let's total some of these atheists which you prescibe to.......

Let's start with Stalin. This peace keeper and atheist killed 40 million of his own and shut down 48,000 churches and tried to liquidate the entire christian church. There is a nice start.

Mao Tse Tung is responsible for 72 million deaths in the most systematic approach to eradicating and destroying christianity.

Lenin was a small time murderer by comparison. He only murdered 10's of thousands of hostages and prisoners while murdering 100's of thousands of peasants and workers. See the German slaughter after bringing them in to help with aggriculture.

There was the extermination of the Cossacks in 1920. Lots of them.

The great purge of 1937-38 which claimed 690,000 lives.

The murder of 4 million Ukrainians and the man made starvation of 2 million others due to the famine created.

These are just a few cases listed in one "country" I have not spoken to Pol Pot and China and othe Korean efforts.

This list truely could go on for some time. These are just two of many. If you care this number could easily be doubled by adding several more atheists and marxists which set out to destroy all religion. I could be said that the world is at war between those who want to believe and will protect the right to death to do so and those who do not want any religious thought at all.

If it is agreed that that killing newborns is against the religious belief which is nearly universal truth then atheists are reponsible for these deaths as well. How about euthenasia.

Credible evidence puts the death toll by secularists in the 20th century alone to be 1000 million. The religious groups that are mainly protecting themselves as a way of a death toll are way behind the secularists if you want to believe any factual evidence. It always amazes me that the media has been able to portray religion as the bad guy while all these other attrocities take a backseat.

The latest war is one which tries to eradicate those that would eradicate us. I do not see the religious connection on the christian side. Religious types are way way behind in the death toll of killing.

I guess all catholics are like Hitler.......NOT. I see some atheists that follow a more righteous path than some Christians. Just because someone has religion doesn't make him righteous, it's his thoughts and actions that will determine that. I grew up Catholic and went to Catholics schools and didn't believe with everything I heard, I then followed the Baptist and it still wasn't complete for me. I felt like the "Church" was more into my "offerings" than me myself. So now I believe what I believe, anything wrong with that?

When did this thread go Biblical anyway? I thought this was a liberal bashing session.

He tells me that we have to raise taxes on the corporations all the time. He can't understand that corporations will raise the price of there goods to pay those taxes. Pretty inflationary to say the least.

I agree with you but to an extent, but I would rather have a chance to not buy something or boycott a company than have a huge chuck of my wages taken away automatically.

Besides where's the law that says the government is allowed to garnish our wages. The whole income tax was implemented during WWII to help fund the war but was never lifted, but there is no law requiring an American citizen to pay a direct unapportioned tax on their labor.......period

I agreed with the statement you made about the extremist on both sides of the fence. They do give each other a bad rep.

What I don't get is all the bickering from the "sides". We are all in this boat together. I'm pro "The People" and if that gets me labeled as being a "liberal" then so be it. You guys can label all you want it doesn't really bother me. Instead of fighting each other why not fight the forces that hold us back as a nation for the people.

As for the alleged "religous" and religous alike, I though we were supposed to "love thy neighbor". I missed the part where the Bible says "love thy neighbor unless he is a democrat, republican, liberal, etc". Where the tolerance on that end? I fail to see it. I didn't know God cared what you are politically, I guess I was wrong.

Little by little more and more of our rights are dwindling away. They keep taking and "we" keep giving. Let me guess this is all for the better good right?

Before you know it we'll be a cashless society with RFID tags embedded in us or in our drivers license. I know it sounds extreme but all it's going to take is time and passive people with the "I don't have nothing to hide" attitude. Perfect puppets for the system. They say jump and you say how high. Who's going to be the first person in line for the mandatory DNA sample and finger print ID?

Point of this is you don't have to be a liberal/democrat/republican to care about your rights, or what's left of them, you just have to be an American that cares about his/her rights and the rights of future generations.......
