I had my 06 GT up on a lift the other day and noticed this on the label on the rear half of the two piece stock drive shaft. WTF? Maybe it's just an acronym (a bad one to use I might add...)

Any of you guys notice this on yours?

 Wow... I would almost certainly think there's a reasonable explanation for that, but I would definitely want the question answered.

My '05 does not have said label. First I've ever heard of that.

Good luck and let us know what you find!

It says "Scrap If Dropped". You may not nave the full sticker still in tact. It is because the stock DS is very sensative to balance and if anyone in the assembly plant or any mechanic working on your car drops it, they are to scrap it.

Ditto - mine says the same thing. Just couldn't read the whole sticker until I had it out. I was "scrapping" it anyways to put in the PH one piece shaft.

I beleive Ford does that to prevent someone else from using it after you put on a PH Aluminum DS.

The stock driveshaft cannot be recycled and must be disposed of through proper channels. Thus the marking "Scrap". Saves time for proper disposal.

Even the guys that dig through the trash at the dump wont touch them.

All kidding aside. My GT DS didnt have a sticker on it at all. Had a lot of rust on it though.
