Water dripping on my foot while driving?

I'm the proud owner of a 2000 Ford Mustang GT Convertible. But I'm having a couple of issues. The first one is when I've driven around I get drips of clear liquid fall on my foot by the clutch pedal. Sometimes it's one or two drops but other times like yesterday it's a lot more. I've noticed my A/C vents get a lot of condensation around the rim of them when the a/c is on, is it coming from the vents/piping under my steering column from the A/C?

My other issue is my car doesn't want to shift into reverse very easily and sometimes not at all. Now I do know the Throw-out bearing is bad (a friend who's into Mustang told me that after hearing it run with the driver-side door open). So what could that mean? Do I need a new clutch?

the heater core is leaking. itll need to be replaced. youll have to pull the entire dash out to change it, and disconnect the a/c system. have it flushed and refilled. if you let it keep leaking itll start to smell really bad and leave a permanent smell inside the car. good luck

Hey man, welcome to the site. On the AC I'd get under there and try to do some tracing. Not sure why you'd have so much condensation but I'm sure someone will chime in!

Do you know how many miles are on your clutch and what type it is? Does you think you are slipping? What kind of noises are you getting from the TOB when you have the clutch pedal in/out? If you are fully stock, have you adjusted the clutch cable (use the top of your foot to lift all the way up, then back down)? Add a few details and I'm sure the guys can help track it down...there are great experts here.

FWIW my car is sometimes recalcitrant about going into reverse, especially when I first start up. Not so much anymore but back in the day it was like that a lot. I'd just run the shifter through 1-4 a couple times while sitting there, and I also usually put it in 5th and then pull it down to reverse. If it still gave me trouble I'd put it in 1st and roll forward a few inches, and then I could grab reverse no problem.

Does it smell like coolant or water? Does the car use coolant? What it raining at the time? Was the AC on?

If water, this is most likely condensation from the AC. Check the AC drain. Look for something blocking the drain (like insects). The drain is on the right hand firewall. Access from under the car.

Also check for the possibility that vent ducts have become detatched behind the dash. Any recent work like a radio install?

If coolant, the heater core is leaking. As said above, the dash will have to be removed. It's a big job. It is also possible to bypass the heater core. If bypassed, loop the heater hoses (do not block).

Yeah it was 103 degree's out and the a/c was at full blast. But it kinda does it when a/c is on low and it only like 80 degree's out. But the hotter it is the more it leaks onto my foot. Like yesterday when it was dripping real bad I couldn't imagine it in any way being condensation. It was just too quick and too much water. Not like a solid flow, but more like drip......drip.......drip...............drip............drip..........drip............drip....and you get the point...lol.

I live in Houston where it's hot and very humid. Mine drips occasionally when the humidity is up. I even get condensation on the vents some times.

When it does this. Stop and look under the dash on the passenger side and the condensation will be pretty heavy on the a/c assembly. It will form on the driver side as well.
